Hi can anybody tell me what is the difference in firmware in the Telkom 2750u and the retail 2750u.

Apparently D-link say they dont supply/support the firmware on the one from telkom.

Thanks

I updated my neighbour's D-link from Telkom last week, using the firmware from the SA D-Link FTP site. There was no problem with the update. Don't know what's the difference between the two. BTW, I'm getting one for myself because of the built-in print server, I tested it out and it works fine :)

Edit: OK! Never noticed the !!!READFIRSTPLEASE!!! Oh well, don't know what the issue is because the modem is running without a problem

That's correct, I panicked a bit when I read the PDF and so phoned D-Link support. The techy said that, in their experience, the firmware corrupts some of the Telkom routers, then you have to do a hard reset and install the previous firmware. Question remains where one is supposed to get the firmware from Telkom :whistling:

I got my D-Link today and also found the right firmware on Tellumat's website. Updating was no problem. I see that you can set 8 WAN profiles with different account details, now to find out how to swap between them
