Hi Guys

I recently registered a (Pty) Ltd company with CIPC through swiftreg. I received all my documents from them and booked an appointment with ABSA business banking. The ABSA call center said I needed an ID, proof of business address and CIPC documents for the appointment.

At the appointment I was told I couldn't continue because I needed an accountant to write a letter proving that I work from home.

How would I go about this? How much does it cost for this letter?

I'm new to business registrations and such, any help would be appreciated.

Just go to Standard Bank. Much less hassles - this is coming from someone who first tried with ABSA and they had too many issues. So I walked to the Standard Bank a few metres away and walked out 20 minutes later with a new business bank account,

Go to FNB. I was in and out of there in 20 min. Required no accountant letters or anything like that.

Wow that sounds awesome. I'll check out the other banks business banking options then. This is my 3rd attempt trying to get my business account with them and still no luck. ABSA's Bizstart account looked quite attractive but I'm sure I'll find a competitor.

As the others said, go to Standard Bank, their business banking is awesome. I've got business accounts with FNB and Standard Bank and would definitely recommend Standard Bank above FNB.
