Absa Student Account and Online Purchases

I was just wondering if anyone has experience with the Absa Silver Student Account. I can't seem to use my card for online purchases (League of Legends Riot Points, connecting the card to Paypal, etc).

It's not crucial but it'd be nice to be able to use it for such. It's a debit card, as far as I know.

Hey! I have the exact same account but also a student credit card connected to the cheque account. If you want to make online purchases you transfer money from the cheque account to the credit account and use the credit card to make online purchaes. Hope it helps

must be activated with mastercard online thing , they do this at the branch.

you might also still have the old meastro card.

One more question: Do I need to go into the bank, or have parental consent or anything? Because I'm stuck at uni, hours away from my bank :/
