Acer Apire Series vs Travelmate Series??

Could someone teel me the difference between them? They look almost the same.

Aspire is geared towards a desktop replacement machine (i.e big and a touch heavy) and the travelmate is geared towards mobile use it is lighter and the battery lasts longer.

Aspire is the consumer and SME brand and TravelMate is the enterprise brand.

Which suppliers stock the Aspire range as I only know of those providing the Travelmate.

Im stugglying to make a choice for a friend lol, she wants to know which is the better buy:

The only difference i can see is the Aspire one has a CrystalBrite display and the Travelmate has a faster processor. Hard decission, I know a friend that has the Aspire and it cam with a 6 Cell battery giving power for around 2.5 hours which i think is pretty good. Cant find anything about how long the Travelmates battery will last.

Hmm...I'd go with the Aspire - you wont notice the faster CPU at all. CrystalBrite's also nice, maybe a tad too reflective in some lighting conditions though.

You have to upgrade the memory on both. 256MB are useless. The Crystalbrite display is very shiny and reflects a lot, a step backward as far as I'm concerned.

Guessing a bit here, but isn't the Travelmate Intel only and the Aspire AMD only?

I've got a Travelmate and are very happy with it, but do have a look at the extended warranty option (3 years total at R 1000 extra)

Is there a new mobile Celeron comming out in August? Do you think it would be worth her while to wait for that rather?
