Activation of SIM card takes too long

Hi

Maybe I am being too demanding but when I got my phone with Redbull Mobile SIM pack and gave the courier proof of identity and residence for RICA I assumed that I would be able to use my phone today.

However when I phoned to activate my SIM card I was told to wait 24 hours until it will show up on the network. I was raving about the excellent customer service from CellC but now I am left unable to use my new phone and contract.

I am a bit dissapointed.

I think you are a little bit impatient and I understand. Usually when they say '24 hours' they mean anything from the time you initiated the process and the 24 hours stated. So, it could happen anythime from now but I think you should be a tad patient. Hope you are sorted sooner though.

Dude, be happy it is only 24 hours, when I got my new phone at MTN i waited like 4 days to get my sim activated, and the first day they said that their computers is offline and that I wont get my phone because they dont give the phone until the sim is activated, so I through a tantrum (lol):D and they eventually gave me the phone and said I must wait for the sim to activate, pathetic service from MTN.:mad:

Well it activated last night at 10pm. Was happy to get in a bit of play time before bed.

Sadly they have not ported my old number to this sim card.

I phoned and they are porting now so it should be up and running by tomorrow. Busy updating my phone now to Gingerbread.
