Alex Afr(whatever) literally stuck his hand up a woman's skirt and digitally assaulted her. He groped her breasts. There is no way to talk around this.

But you do the whole "it's her fault" scthick.

99.9999% of men I have interacted with understand this wrong. The culture at Blizzard allowed this behaviour to manifest, hence why we are hearing about so many of these stories coming out from one company.

The abhorrent post to which you replied to is what perpetuates this culture.

Yeah no. You have to see a WOW addiction in action before you think their customers are capable of boycotting them. Some will probably write a few tweets or make a video about this before going back in and specialise their mage's skill. It really doesn't surprise me that the people dedicated to making the content have the same social ineptness and end up not knowing how to treat Women.

Gamers are the problem cos if they weren't working on games and patches for them then there wouldn't be employees and there wouldnt be anyone to sexually harass... you are sexually harassing people by wanting the content you paid for... shame on you gamers, do better

Of course didn't go down well on the twits and he has limited account
lol no, read it again.
We saw this with Cyberpunk, remember how that went?

Abhorrent? Yes the light is abhorrent to those that prefer the dark.

You just don't like I think me pointing out what led to this culture.... or you had comprehension problems or willingly chose to believe I tried to excuse it.

And this is funny because I outright condemned everything you imply I champion..... because you cannot comprehend woman being anything other than perpetual pathetic victims and you seethe at the thought of anyone believing they have a personal responsibility for their actions which contribute to what happens to them.

Funny that, I seem to respect woman more than you do. I want to treat them like independent powerful adults and you want to treat them like children that must always be coddled.

And the culture at Blizzard materialized because it mirrors general gaming culture. Given how utter perverse a majority of "gaming culture" has been especially since the 90's beyond the mere 25% most non-gamers interact with I find it largely unsurprising that a company creating games would itself have a culture of perversion.

Upon reflection this whole saga is almost as unsurprising to me as the Weinstein saga was..... if an industry thrives on perversion for entertainment then it should not be surprising that it contains many perverts given how it encourages such things.

This current saga is the fruit of seeds planted decades ago, I won't be surprised if most major game companies that routinely produce games with woman in clothing resembling prostitutes and touting it as some kind of ideal..... has similar problems internally.

It is not uncommon to find vulgarity and sex obsession in many online "gaming communities".... in fact it's actively encouraged, there are certain members on these forums that also push that envelope.

If you have a situation where there is active encouragement to view the female form as meant for promiscuous physical pleasure...... how is it surprising that many actually start believing it and eventually acting it out?

The current environment where this problem is probably more prevalent than many realize could only have been created with female consent.

What are porn games?

The major irony is of course.... women as a group literally did this to themselves.

Is this one woman that you respect your mother by any chance?

I doubt you've had any real contact with a woman before
Cringing stuff
A word of warning on kissing.... it can easily be like turning on an engine and not being able to turn it off or stop the revving....

Kissing is not as innocent as it might seem and much more intimiate than people might think because they have been so desensitized to it's effect.

Pockets of this type of behaviour exist everywhere. Heard similar stories about Investec for instance from several female colleagues who worked there in the past. Sad but true.

Honestly it should always be reported, internally first and if not resolved try find someone external who tracks this to report the details to so that evidence can build. Then get out. There are jobs out there for hard workers and its not worth staying in an environment that cultivates that type of culture.

I find places where this kind of thing happens regularly (especially bullying by management) the whole place becomes depressing and horrid to work in. The confident people leave and more and more the staff are doormats that management walk over so even if you try do something it will not have much support.

I kind of like the fact that at blizzard that a large number of staff are willing to do the walkout. It means that there is:
A) truth to the allegations, as otherwise so many would not risk their job
B) it is limited to a management culture, the employees of the floor don't like it

Let it play out, some heads will roll of the worst offenders, others who where accused and perhaps there was not enough evidence will be so tainted will move on on their own I suspect quietly and hopefully behave better at their next post. Overall I like the light that is shining on this issue and hope it improves things.

I think this the death of the brand name Blizzard, Activision-Blizzard will probably drop the Blizzard name and go by just Activision. Blizzard's studios will be just down officially when I'm reality they'll just be rebranded.

Yeah saw that.
The penalty for destroying evidence would be lower than that of the lawsuits.
Although Blizzard is denying doing this of course.

Doubt they'll collapse. Share price is still double what it was in Feb 2019 and they've had massive dips before.
That's assuming the can at least provide a good game for a change.
