Try reception [at] core.co.za

Yeah I sent it, will see if it's worth it to email these addresses.

First time dealing with core, what a shame to the Apple brand.

Got mine from the iStore at V&A yesterday, kicks ass. Didn't even do a clean install, just a upgrade and it worked wonderfully. I pity the jibber jabber fool that has to install Windows 7

Snow leopard is memory hungry, I have 1GB, running iTunes alone leaves me with only about 50MB free, 1GB is the minimum anyway so I've ordered a 2GB stick and gonna upgrade instead.

I'm pretty bumbed though, my late 2007 macbook has the 64bit EFI but my macbook runs the hybrid kernel not the 64bit kernel, maybe it's a driver compatibly issue...

+1 installed SL on one of my machines. Was a bit annoyed that a few things did not work "out the box". Software update did not work, had to go to Apple KNowledge base to find a solution. Apparently it happens. Needed to delete a plist file and reboot. There were no software drivers from my HP 1022 (two years old). Had to separately download the HP Drivers update, released last week and install - this should have been included. Did the update to 10.6.1. Started running a bit hot ... got up to 92 degs, and the fan speed was very low. Quickly installed SMC to manually push up fan speed and seems to have sorted out the heat issue. Didn't expect these issues ...

Some minor bugs when upgrading, eventually did a backup and then did a clean SL install, working great now :)

+1 But i have not installed. Have the 13.3" (White) Macbook (2.something ghz intel / 2GB mem) and firefox is such a memory hog, i am hesitant to install Snow Leopard. I normally run ff(hog), safari, an IDE(ocassional hog), mail, itunes etc, but need to bounce ff once a day. gets up to 450megs.

any 13.3ers care to share their post installation experiences with the upgrade?

At least problems are getting fixed while you wait :) Mine's sitting on my desk but between work and travelling I'm only going to get around to do the upgrade in December :(

Well, I finally got around to do this. Quick and painless, and everything works so far, except my Huawei E156G - still looking for updated drivers.

Never mind. I found this - just extracted and installed the driver (not the whole dialer package). Added *99# as the phone number and it connected straight away. Sweet :)
