Adroid application to use old phone as daschcam an GPS. Auto power on and off

Hi

Hope someone may have the application to use.
I want to use one of my old android device as permanent GPS dashcam in my car. So you need the device to go into deep sleep when you switch off the car so the device will switch off all radio's, screen and application like cam recording. So when you return to the car and start the unit must wake up and start all the radios and previously active applications.

Do anyone know of application that will be able to do this?

No, but hope your phone tracking app is up to date.. had the same thought a while ago but was put off by the visible temptation of a phone for the taking by thieves.

My thoughts exactly - by the time they've smashed your window and discovered its an old phone it wont really matter that it's not worth stealing.

The device will not be visible at all. It will function more as carputer. Still working on the idea for now I need to test an app that will be able to deep sleep the unit so the battery does not run flat and have to be powered on manually every time.

I though you wanted to use it as a dashcam?

Yeah one of the things. But still it will not be visible as a phone.

/subscribing as I could use this as well.

it's fairly easy to take most phones out of their cases, 3D print (or build?) a different looking casing to use in this scenario.

It can be wired through cars electrics and power on with the ignition, complicated but practical.
