ADSL Henley on Klip disconections

For over a year we have had disconnection problems with our ADSL, on the 30th MWEB confirmed more than 30 dropped connections. Averages about 8 to 10 a day.
Telkom denies there is a problem, so Mweb did a few tests, used two routers, used my account, someone else's (staff mweb )account and a FNB account, all had sort of the same results, dozens of disconnections.
We have changed filters, got rid of wireless phone, still no change.
got the report from MWEB and phoned Telkom to see what can be done, the person on the other side could not grasp the problem and gave me the call centre number to call to get a email address to send report to, told them that's your number, was told well try a different option and maybe they can help you, have you tried accounts, maybe they can help you.
Any advice or where who what can I contact to try sort this out? Without moving to Singapore?
Sadly I am not the most computer literate person around, even went so far as buying complete new computer to see if this helped, it did not.

It used to crackle which is why they told us to get rid of wireless phone. Made no difference, not sure on the rain crackling, never noticed it?
Why you asking as it must have a reason, went so far a to solder all the wire connections so there is no dry joints etc.
Strange when we had no connection few days ago TELKOM said it was connected.
Also our neighbour has very slow connection as well, not sure on disconnections.

Out of interest what telephone cable do you have? a twisted pair cable or one that just runs straight?
Had a very similar problem, but a techy came out and suggested we change the line to a twisted pair...

P.S. : Telkom as the ISP and line

both I think, a section with two black lines running next to each other, and longer white section with more than two wires in a round plastic outer

problem is not constant, some days nothing and then like a few days ago nearly 40 disconnects, making it impossible to do anything at all.

Hmmmm, can't tell but think it would be safest to ask Telkom to replace it with one single cable from the junction if possible, but getting your line stats will help.

Try log onto your router, and look for something that mentions attenuation
If you not sure how to, try google the model of your router.

I recently upgraded to a 4mb line, but my port was running at 10mb, the speed caused major EI, the line dropped like 10 times a day if i really used it... The Telkom call centre wasn't able to help, eventually a few days later a techy came over and assisted, also couldn't establish what it was, but as a last ditch effort we ran a temp twisted cable. Which sorted it DCs.

So if you think you have a twisted copper cable, give it a shot, but run it straight from the join box outside(on your house wall possibly) through a window as a temp solution but disconnect the old cable as it can cause a short and things will get crazy

Well, our line dropped about 20 times a day, telkom came and looked at the current copper and found a exposed cable near the gutter (main black cable), they said fk it and changed the whole cable through out the house and now its 100%, absoultly perfect.

router is a BILLION, so far we have tried 3 of them, last one tested by MWEB as 101% working before sending it here.
Telkom out this way not so helpful, if we need TELKOM stuff sorted then we drive to a JHB depot to sort.

Just phone them and tell them your phone connection keeps cutting out/dropping and you think it's the cable, hopefully they won't get lazy then

At last got hold of someone who listens at TELKOM, changed port, changed wire to pole, it was old two core so that could be problem, plus got techs phone number who says when it happens don't reset router but rather call him so he can check whats wrong while we down.
