my stuff is running fine (Burgundy)...there was issues last night but it's fixed now...apparently it was an area wide problem on Telkom's side (according to Afrihost).

I did see 2 Telkom bakkies this morning in the area...they might be doing maintenance somewhere...

I'm online, but very intermittent. I was online whole night last night, it was down today between 9 and 3'ish and now it's now back online

Thanks for the update. Something strange is going on. I've got no dial tone nothing. And Telkom is ignoring me. Hopefully the technicians works over weekends.

Telkom just phoned me out of the blue and asked me whether my modem is on at home. Sounds like they are cutting us over from the old exchange to the new MSAN's for VDSL. He just phoned me and told me that my line shows as not active (hence why he asked me whether my router is on). He's on his way back to have a look at the exchange to ensure that my line is connected properly.

I'm assuming they've cut us over today. My ADSL worked fine this morning before going to work

Probably, but they are definitely busy switching us over to the MSAN's. At least that's what the guy working on the exchanges told me..

damn...my connection hasn't gone off once...guess that means they not switching me over /sniff

look at it this way...6 months ago we almost didn't have fixed line internet anymore...and now we're bitching about who's getting VDSL first!!

My adsl was working this morning, but now its dead again! Nothing is working. Ffs. Hopefully its the birth of vdsl thats causing this pain!
