YES WE ARE! I escalated the matter to regional management and they confirmed this morning that someone forgot to update their system, hence the 4mbs max! its updated now! thanks me! we are suppose to have 40mbs. ! I ARE SO HAPPY

Line is with Telkom. Just phoned them and an hour later my line was upgraded. My 1GB test account is flying. I'm still on a 4Mbps ISP account though, but even that is way faster now. 4Mbps account running @ 4.2Mbps download and 0.85 KB/s upload according to speedtest. used to be 3.6Mbps & 0.43 KB/s
I am still using my adsl router and not a vdsl router. They can switch you to vdsl line, but your router must be replaced. I heard that your upload speed will increase if you go on full vdsl. VERY HAPPY! I get over 16mbs download speed and ping 10-12.
I put in my order for an upgrade to a 40mbps line yesterday (my line is with Afrihost)...turnaround time apparently is 48hours. Got a pace router already, with an ASUS DSL-AC68U on backorder from my suppliers...so I'm good to go

Do I really have to phone 10210 to upgrade my line? Been on hold for 2 hours, have till now not spoken to a human. Oh and also, who is the dude in Protea Village with the moerse CTWUG tower close to the corner of Witteboom and Sauvignon? I hear him raging online every night from my house (playing games) lol

You need a VDSL-capable router. You're only able to get 20M with a regular ADSL2+ router.
