I just want to find out whether any of you have experienced this before.
On Friday when I got home from work, I saw that my ADSL connection was down. So I tried to reconnect again and kept on getting the error that it cannot reach the remote computer. So I restarted my router and I could connect again. Then when I checked my phone I had no dial tone except for a strange noise that sounded like "trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr". Everytime I try to phone my number, I just get an engaged tone.
Funny thing is my ADSL will now disconnect whenever it feels like it and in order for me to connect again, I need to restart my modem/router everytime. Any ideas what might have happened on Friday? I did see a Telkom van parked outside our complex.
I phoned telkom immediately and reported the fault. Still waiting for it to be repaired though.
