having just read about the huge drop in ISP high cap accounts, wouldn't it be a good idea for ISP's like Axxess, Hyperlink, WebAfrica etc to advertise their products on radio, TV as well as newspapers? i think that would be the easiest way to inform the public about the changes and gain marketshare, as well as give large ISP's like MWEB and Telscum Internet a big wake up call

with telkom reducing line rental prices for consumers, and if ISP's can introduce these prices with telkom's current billing structure, surely telkom cant increase prices and only decrease it? especially with the DoC finally taking a stand on communications prices, telkom would have to be totally daft to increase their prices to ISP's because it would contradict everything that was said at the DoC colloquim. the 'big' announcement in august, i personally think it would probably be the introduction of a local cap - in which case 30 Gigs should overcome that problem easily for now and at current adsl speeds.

the reason i thought about the idea of advertising is to get people to pressurize the large corporations, let them know that they dont rule the world.
