Need some advice on the below combo setup. Is it worth it or should I be looking at something else for around the 10k mark?

The 0.5c 50ah max discharge means you must use the inverter as a max 600w constant load

Naturally this isn't a problem for most as to get through 2hrs you would need to use less than 600w and to make it through 4hrs half that

I assume the battery can peak at 100ah thus meet the peak load of the inverter for shorter periods
As long as it doesn't trip at 50A on overload the specs sheet doesn't say peak load but normally the peak is 1c ie 100a on a 100ah battery

And a faster charge rate would be nice , to recharge a totally flat battery in the 4hrs we have power inbetween the higher stages

But yea getting exactly what we want ain't always easy , sometimes we need to compromise on certain specs for price

Besides the fact that you can get a 1C battery and inverter at pretty much the same price, I really don't see the problem.

If you are happy with the 600W limit from the 1.2kW inverter then go for it.

But be warned about the battery, looks are deceptive, it is much bigger than it looks in the pictures.

Wasn't sure what the 1C battery rating meant but just read up on it and it's interesting.

What would you recommend to get?

Where do you get 600W out of curiosity?

Any 1C battery at a good price. I see there aren't many under R7k at the moment but if you look hard enough you can find one.

If you are in a hurry, you csn still go with the same battery but at a cheaper option, you can get the battery and inverter for under 9k. I can personally vouch for the inverter, it's so silent you won't even know it's there, perfect for small spaces.

From the battery specs, you can only draw maximum of 50A from it, multiply that by 12V, you get 600W. So your inverter can handle 1200W but you will be limited by the battery, you will need two of those to use the 1200W capacity.

Maximum Continuous Discharging Current: 50A
Working Voltage Range 116V-14.6V
Built In Protection -Over-Charge, Over-Discharge, Over-Temperature

So I'm assuming that I would need to look for a battery that can draw 100a from it which would be a 1C rating ( that is a maximum continuous discharge of 100a)

I would not be using the full 1000w at all times because I just want to use the setup to power a TV, playstation and some lights for now.

I see the LifePower Bronze 12V 100Ah 1.2kWh allows for Max Continuous Discharge: 100A (1C) and also the Mecer lithium batteries.

Not really in a hurry and still shopping around.

Yes, that would be it.

That price is way to high for that kit and that battery is going for R4899 atm.

Who has it for 4899?

Looking for some recommendations for a budget of around 10k

Get the inverter in the meanwhile, it's very keenly priced. Do note that it does not have a solar charger so if you intend using solar you will need an external charger or to go for a different one.

How much for a combo including cables?

If you choose that battery and a inverter like in previous post then it will be R7799 or R8149 if the cables is not included since I am not sure if that Conderenergy 1600w comes with the cables but they also heave ECCO models but the Sun 1000w + 1500w models comes with all the cables since we bought both models.

Which type is the Conderenergy, the Mecer /Ellies type and how noisy is it?
