Hi
Considering buying a property in Northriding. I feel that Northriding does offer good value for money.
It is going to be in a complex with 24/7 security. Just wondered if it’s the right move.

it is on Derby drive,
Any thoughts, advice etc would be welcome. We did see a lot of workers walking down Bellairs etc. is it because of all the construction or complexes? Wondered where they are walking from and to?

How often do they have power failures? When I lived in Northriding it was plagued with power failures.
Where do you work? Cause traffic is a nightmare down pretty much every road as well.

Well I’m currently in Northwold and we fall under 8A same as Northriding and it’s ok. We have a gas stove and the hot water runs off gas. We planning to do the same in the new place. As long as we can have hot water and cook it’s bearable for us.
I work in Morningside so take Rivonia off ramp. Since I’m in Northwold I’m used to the area but I’m not too familiar with Northriding itself.

Well Northwold and Northriding are right next to each other, the only thing is Bellairs drive is a nightmare but you'll know that already and Witkoppen is as well.

The local electricity grid in that area is unstable at best - too many developments in an area not designed to support that many people

My sister lived there. Their complex had many break ins. There was a lot of construction next door.

Just never ever sign a sole mandate. No matter how lucrative they make it sound. When I was much younger I signed one for 6 months and my property wasn't shown once. Even my friend in the industry tell her customers never to sign one. She does not sell properties any longer. Would you like me to ask her to give you free advise on what to look out for when buying a property. She is very kind and won't lie to potential buyers or sellers. She won't make any money of you but I'll give her you question and post her advise here.

Also, contact their body corporate for the books. Look out for extra levy you might have to take over or when they are in the red.
