Charged in August and what happened between then and now?
Maybe by charged, he means docket was opened in August ?

City Press understands that investigators have submitted the docket to prosecutors to obtain warrant of arrest for all implicated in the murder.

But the perps wouldn't know the details from way back then. Though it is true that if they were charged in August then they'd have made court appearances as that has to happen with a two days of arrest. So, they're lying or don't understand the process.

FAILURE TO ARREST MASTERMIND BEHIND SENZO MURDER FURTHER CORRODES TRUST IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES

AfriForum’s Private Prosecution Unit and the family of the former Bafana-Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa expressed their displeasure today over the failure of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) to order the arrest and court appearance of the mastermind behind the murder of Senzo. The case was transferred to the Palm Ridge High Court in Johannesburg today and will continue on 19 July 2021 with pretrial proceedings. The trial date is set for 25 October 2021. AfriForum’s Private Prosecution Unit represents the Meyiwa family.

...

Today’s events confirm the community’s negative perception of the ability of law enforcers to cope effectively with complex cases like these without any political interference, according to Nel. “AfriForum’s Private Prosecution Unit assisted the investigation team throughout and has sympathy with their frustration about the NPA’s unwillingness to charge the suspect and add the person to the charge sheet. The perception has already been created that this person is being protected from prosecution – and the current unwillingness of the prosecutor to charge this person reinforces this perception.”

So they're treating and prosecuting this as a robbery, despite knowing and acknowledging it's a hit, also not apprehending the kingpin that even Cele acknowledged.

They probably don't have enough evidence to go after the mastermind. Even the case against the guys arrested doesn't seem too strong. Even fired their lawyer because "he wanted them to confess to a murder they didn't commit".

However, on Thursday in a letter written to the Pretoria High Court, Teffo said the main reason which made him to withdraw from the case, was that to the judge was using muthi against him.

“Judge Maumela started taking concoction in the form of a liquid, (he would) drink everytime the court was in session, to achieve the said goal of collapsing me inside court.

I wonder if his clients still have confidence in the man, at this point even a state provided lawyer would be better than this con artist.

The bar with which he's registered ought to look into his clowning. Maybe make him retake the exam just to check if he didn't buy the paper to obtain admission. He's more clown than lawyer. I wonder why he's returning, did perhaps the ATM decide not to use him in their crusade against CR?

They could have changed their minds, i am very certain they chose him because he told them he has files on Ramaphosa, probably changed their mind after Juju's press conference when he said the guy is a utterly incompetent.
