Afrihost customers on Openserve to get free speed upgrades

Afrihost fibre and DSL clients which use Openserve infrastructure are getting free line speed upgrades in March.

Earlier this month, Openserve informed Internet service providers (ISPs) it would be implementing connection speed upgrades across its fibre and copper products from 1 March 2021.

We are very happy to take this knock

But where are they cutting/not improving? Support? Call Center? IT Tech?

@AfriNatic Would it be possible to stay on the 100Mb package with reduced price? Or how would I need to go about doing this?

Will these changes be effective for Pure DSL offerings as well?

Hi. Would it be possible to stay on the 100Mb package with reduced price? Or how would I need to go about doing this?
You can downgrade via Clientzone to the lower package. Just do it on or before the 15th for it to take effect on 1 March.

You can downgrade in clientzone. Openserve has announced that they will do the line changes in stages and so we do not expect all the lines to be changed at midnight so there might be a few days at the lower speed while Openserve does the changes on their side.

The Pure DSL and DSL lines will be changed by Openserve in stages. These changes will be done by Openserve. I will confirm if the price changes will be applied by us.

Should I downgrade now or later next month?
