Good day,
I hope you are well.

I cancelled my fibre installation as it is not possible to install fibre into my building yet. My landlord told me provisions were there however Afrihost advised that Openserve doesn't have our building registered as an apartment so they are unable to provide us with fibre.

My landlord is working on it, however I decided to cancel the installation for now as it may take months to sort out.

I am returning the router in the sealed courier bag, I didn't even open the package and no installation has been done and the service hasn't started, however I am being charged a cancellation fee.

The service hasn't even started yet, how can I be charged R999 for this?

Please advise.

Thank you.
Kind Regards

That sucks, have you asked Afrihost why you are being billed despite no service being active?

Hi.

Please drop me a PM with your account details. We should be able to credit the cancellation as soon as the router is returned.

With regards to your address not being registered, it will need a manual order with Openserve and we have to provide your proof of address (utility bill from the landlord).

Hi, thank you so much, just dropped you a PM.

Whew, I was worried I was getting charged either way lol. Thank you for the clarity, I saw the invoice and got stressed out.
