See below:

Hi Nicolas,

I received quite a few emails from clients who missed the end of the month deadline on Monday, so we've decided to extend free fibre setup to this Friday the 4th of August:

https://www.afrihost.com/free-setup

(Click above to see if your area qualifies for the free setup - you can save up to R4,000 on installation, set-up and wifi router costs)

If you have fibre in your area, and you've been thinking about getting it, now is the time to lock in your free setup.

If you order before Friday, you will STILL qualify for the free setup even though your fibre will only be installed after the 4th.

I've also included some common questions I’ve been asked below - Hope this helps.

Have a great day!

There are many better FTTH deals to be had but the free installation and activation, together with a lekker router, made me bite the bullet and order.

Will the Fibre 4Mbps Home Uncapped package really be throttled after 80gb?

My family uses max 200gb pm on the 4mbps Adsl Capped option currently, trying to decide whether to switch over and cancel the Telkom line altogether.

If you're going for the 4Mbs option I would suggest staying with ADSL.

Ah, thanks for the heads up.. What if I bumped up (R150) to 10Mbps on the Fibre Home Uncapped, would it throttle from 120gb?

Or you could just choose the home premium option and not worry about the cap.
I have a 4mb home prom, works perfect, just don't plan on torrenting during the day, let them run through the night.

Everything else works pretty good.

There is no such thing as uncapped without worrying about the cap.

Now I hope the transition from DSL to fiber goes smoothly. So far I have had no billing issues with Afrihost.

Just a little math i did between Afrihost and other ISP for my own fibre, i would pay that 4k in "savings" in just over a year to get the exact same service i pay for now.

Sounds like I should just stick with my Adsl, ..I've had no problems with Afrihost in that regard. Pay R199 for 400gb Capped, and it's generally usable most of the time.

In the email, the link https://www.afrihost.com/free-setup is actually a link anchor to https://www.afrihost.com/fibre/?promo=4k#fibre-availability, like so https://www.afrihost.com/free-setup.

Like, seriously Gian, just put the normal link there instead of this "free-setup" BS. Everyone is offering free-setup, Gian. Even Telkom. Get it together, Gian.

It includes activation and migration and modem. Otherwise the cost would be a once off installation of R1700, and a provisioning fee of R999. My aoplogies if you already knew this.
