Did the product just die? Should I stop paying for it?
@Afrigirl could you see if anything is amiss? Or should I just request a physical sim instead? Here you go:
[#QOA-179-50731]: ClientZone - Support Request : APN
Hello.@Afrigirl could you see if anything is amiss? Or should I just request a physical sim instead?
The guys on support are not very keen on assisting (it's been two days without any replies now )
I have received like 20 sms'es on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, an hour after another, saying "your new number xxx is in the process of being activated". No other sms'es received since then.Hello.
Did you receive a welcome flash message before setting up APN on the device?
Try setting the APN on the MiFi to ws.air.mvno and test.So I just found out that these sims wont work in MiFi Routers and on Chromebooks, I have logged a call but I am a bit disappointed.
Hopefully Afrihost can engage with MTN over why their network has problems with Apple iPhones supporting VoWiFi. They have VoWiFi on the MTN network but only for Android devices...Unfortunately, VoWifi and VoLTE have not been enabled yet, MTN will allow functionality soon on MVNOs
Speedtest app not work for you as well?Is this normal on the Afrihost network? Cuz I'm pretty sure mtn can go upto 80mbps+ on 4G

Well that's sucks tbh I expected atleast 20mbps cuz Vodacom always gave me a stable 80mbps with 20-30ms in cape town. If this is an occurring issue I have no choice but too port back in 60 days. Since I use mobile data for my work alot. Let's see how it is tomorrow also I'm like 90% sure mtn rarely has a issue with speeds here so this defs gotta be Afrihost oneSpeedtest app not work for you as well?
Speeds are sometimes not the greatest
It's late at night could be who knowsCould maybe be slightly congested due to the huge influx maybe?

I wanted to check if the sim is active and working from your end there Froot?I have received like 20 sms'es on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, an hour after another, saying "your new number xxx is in the process of being activated". No other sms'es received since then.
Hi there Dillydo, have you checked the APN settings to see if the sim does work or you have not placed your order as yet?So I just found out that these sims wont work in MiFi Routers and on Chromebooks, I have logged a call but I am a bit disappointed.
Should we receive any updates about this one, we will update you.Hopefully Afrihost can engage with MTN over why their network has problems with Apple iPhones supporting VoWiFi. They have VoWiFi on the MTN network but only for Android devices...
Were these speeds you been getting the whole day from your end? Are you still experiencing such speeds? Is this normal on the Afrihost network? Cuz I'm pretty sure mtn can go upto 80mbps+ on 4G
Edit:Cape Town server even worse 90ms with 3mbps...
