Hi Guys

Openserve is doing my Fibre install tomorrow. (Chose Afrihost as ISP)

As far as I can tell they cover the first 8 meters and additional cabling is for my account.

Please note there is absolutely no digging or anything to be done. I just need to decide how to route the cable and where I want the router.

How much do they charge per additional meter? (Again, please note it is for the cable only)

Can an extention be made later if needs be?

Thanks.

If it's aerial fibre from the poll then you can forget about the 8m trenching. There will be no limit to the actual fibre cable. I'm about 25m cable length from the poll and I asked the guy to roll about 10m extra in the roof too if I ever need to move the ONT.

8m is for the trenching due to labour costs with trenching.

I live in a gated village which had previous Telkom conduits from the road to the house. Open serve did not charge for the installation which was way over 8 metres.

Thanks guys, I can confirm that I was not charged for extra cable, they are quite generous but I also think the put a good couple extra meters in just in case something needs fixing later on.
