Hi.

Has the service been restored?

Hi, no it hasn't. Since 6pm yesterday. I logged a ticket and was told there's a network incident in the Ferndale area. Seems to be taking an awfully long time.

Any chance there is an eta or update?

Okay.

We need some communication now regarding the Ferndale outtage...

Everything is going unanswered and it's getting a bit annoying.

Internet has been dead since 6pm Friday night and there's been 0 communication about it.

Is there a issue downloading windows updates on the Afrihost Openserve network? Currently performance is slow

There shouldn't be any issues but Microsoft has the tendency to stop serving traffic from Akamai caches we host and serve the traffic from European CDN Fastly which isn't always the best.

@Afrigirl @AfriNatic

Connection is still down.
Vumatels website is saying there's still an NWI in Ferndale. (Logged on Friday).
Afrihost has removed theirs on their website.

can you find out from vumatel if they're aware of an issue by any chance?

@Afrigirl @AfriGuy There network issues in Durban area? This weekend has been terrible, youtube, downloading etc. dropping out, buffering etc. Openserve.

Getting slow af downloads right now. Tested with nvidia driver download. 25mbps. Imgur.com loading slowly too. 1.5mbps. I used to get this **** with WebAfrica too in the evenings... What's happening?

Tried torrents. Two that I know are well seeded (~200mbps). I was able to get around 280mbps. With WA, everything was slow, so this is different.

So what can cause sites and http dl's to be slow, but not torrents?

Durban. 250mbps. (Line resolves at 1gbps though for some reason.)

Also CPT area slow download speeds on the Openserve network. Windows updates slow, Xbox PC games download slow. Nvdidia driver downloads also slow. Steam games download is okay.

Speedtest 100% line speed

I'm in Cape Town on Octotel and it's been crawling since yesterday
