First of all please accept my sincere apologies for the disruption and frustration this attack has caused you.

Update:

Although the attacks continue, the severity or impact thereof has decreased.

Seems the attacks are destined to several networks advertised by Liquid and not specific to Echo or Afrihost.

Locally hosted content like Netflix, Gmail and YouTube should be working well.
Internationally hosted game servers and use other interactive resources will remain an issue till the attacks go away or are well mitigated.

Just to assure you that Afrihost, Echotel and Liquid techs are working on mitigating this attack as effectively and quickly as possible.

Yeah dstv now is fine. Hosted by akamai so stream is local.

Mybroadband and takealot is slow aswell as any non enterprise cloudflare hosted sites as they are international.
 
Man this is really painful. DStv Now has turned to potato quality. Most sites not loading.

DSTV should be working normally. Tested a few streams and also catchups.

Seems a little slow to respond, but otherwise normal.

Keep trying, or maybe try a quick reboot of your device.

Totally get it. My wife just started a TEFL job online, so she's pretty anxious.

At least she knows some of the guys who are busy working on this and knows they are doing their best to fix it.

Not me - the Mrs.......she is watching HGTV. It is not buffering at this minute, but it does quite often. Also - i find loads of websites still not loading, but i guess the DDOS is obviously not over yet....

International sites might still be dicey. We're still seeing some packet loss, so those would be worst affected, especially gaming.

For some unaccountable reason Discord is still working this time, so I can at least commiserate with my brothers and buddies who moved overseas. And they can rub my face in their reliable european internet, the bast- er, fine upstanding fellows.
 
Dstv now wont even load menus. Netflix and Youtube show menus but nothing wants to play. I really need to stream something so I can doze off. It was working okayish until shortly after 10.
