I'm not an Afrihost supporter/user/admirer.

Just a guy that likes it when a company knows it ****ed up...and fixes things. Behind Afrihost 100%

You will succeed. Admitting you ****ed up is part of the healing process.

Afrihost reps here... your the best.
Never forget that.
Go get the no 1 spot!!!!

Gottagoon signing out for tonight.

The ruling party loves people like you.
Why?
I admire individuals or people that get the job done without stealing.
Common.

I admire companies that have the balls to fix mistakes they made and try and grow.

I admire people that don't think they are perfect....... I've a bald head.... perfectly bald lol.

Let me **** off. Gonna zzzz and dream of Jacob Zuma and that Ace in jail. lol.

I used to use Afrihost until Vox had that adsl fatpipe special 5-6 years ago and moved over to them. I saw all the issues that had with MTN and glad I was not with them at the time and told myself that I will never use Afrihost ever again.

Last year May they started with their special where they pay for installation and up to 3 months free and decided to go with them, and I haven't regretted it for a single second. Things just work. I am no gamer so I can't speak for latency during gaming, but for work with multiple SSH sessions, calls etc I am yet to experience an issue.

I am happy to be supporting them and I recommend them to anybody who asks me which ISP to go with.

I recently signed up for the MTN fixed LTE-A, and received an unactivated SIM. I battled with the Whatsapp service channel who was worse than useless, and eventually got someone to phone me, who also wasn't great and never phoned me back as promised. After 2 days of struggling, I was going to call it quits on Afrihost and just cancel.

As a last resort I sent a PM off to @AfriNatic , who was awesome in not just the quick response, but solid support and follow-up. He is the reason I'm still with Afrihost, and Gian take note - if you want to reach the #1 spot you'll have to elevate your other support channels to the same level, otherwise you won't.

@Dan C my advice is if you want their support, DM the rep instead of just complaining and hoping they're monitoring the thread.

I applied for a pure DSL with 10mbps connection speed 3 months ago. Already have 3 escalations on that as well. Still no feedback. I need to contact afrihost everytime. Sad thing is im am 5-6 years away from planned fiber instalation.

Last week some random oke pitches up and wants to start diggin for a fiber pole. Guess i will have 100mbps fiber before 10mbps copper.

The fiber installers are in direct competition with Afrihost.

Blame Openserve, not Afrihost. That random oke is probably casing your property.

My money is 100% on Open Serve being at fault.
They don't do much when their clients log cases and faults, they do even less when their competition does so it's not that surprising at all

I know it is openserve. They can't even connect 2 wires in the right order. Heaven forbit giving them cat5 cable..... as for the fiber. They put up poles the whole street in 1 week. It is definitly happening.

Would explain why you're getting nowhere with DSL. Rather go LTE for now.
