These clowns are comparing a movie with no explicit sex or nudity to a porno.

so, the movie is intended for teen audience, but they are now prohibited from watching?

This is concerning.

Does the board still consist of verkrampte 70 year old tannies and dominees?
I'm sure they are predominately ANC, so no.

This reminds me of when the "non-verkrampte", liberal ANC threatened a doctor with child pornography charges, when he attempted to show what a dead raped baby looks like.

Government did the same with someone who exposed botched ritualistic circumcisions.

Oh, and don't forget about Lindiwe Mazibuko's short dress!

*Sigh... The FPB... Same f**ktards who classified a painting and want every website ever to apply for classification, at a price of course. Not smart enough to pick their own noses but entrusted with the national moral compass. I hang my head in shame every time I see that acronym in a headline.

In that case there are some medical books that students and doctors use which show full frontal preteen nudity. Better bust Lippincott and Williams and other international scientific publishers for child porn then.

Hate to be the proverbial partypooper of this malinformed bitchfest, but the FPB has been known to take a tough stance on dramatised underaged sex, whether explicit or not. This is what got the other film banned from Durban IFF that year. I don't actually think this is untoward because along with smoking you're not likely to see this in your average film elsewhere.

The last I saw of this was this French morality tale that didn't get past its premiere and another starring Kylie Minogue. We can't blame the FPB for exerting their authority on the outliers. Underage sex is dangerous and has real consequences and any other message deserves to be quashed.

This always amazes me. We are super desensitised to violence. Youngsters are often allowed to watch violent movies, play violent video games. (Which I'm OK with for the most part as well)

However, show some skin and people go beserk! Shock horror. Weird social norms.
