Hi gents

Anybody bought a solar geyser from these folks? Any opinions on reliability, etc.

I got a quote for R27,5k for a 200l flat plate, indirect system. Is that expensive/normal price? 10 year warranty on the geyser and collector, 1 year for the rest.

One nice option they have is to pay it off over 12 months interest free. 20% deposit and the rest spread out evenly over 12 months. It works out to around R5.5k upfront and then R1.8k pm for 12 months.

And lastly, is the rebate system a thing of the past?

It seems they have already included the interest in for your interest free payment terms. R27k seems quite steep

I paid R15700 for a HP Suntank installed with keypad computer.

200l all on roof costs +-R18k. After all rebates and online discounts, you get to R15k. There is also an additional cash discount which brings it down to R14k.

Not bad...but they subtract the solar geyser rebate which is no longer being paid by Eskpm of around R4k, which takes it up to R19k

No more rebates. I had a retrofit from Tasol for R14.4k. Geyser in the ceiling still, with 24 tube collector and keypad.
