Al-Qaeda warns Canada

OTTAWA - An al-Qaeda strategist has warned Canada to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan or face terrorist attacks similar to 9/11, Madrid and the London transit bombings.

The threat, attributed to a member of the al-Qaeda information and strategy committee, condemns Prime Minister Stephen Harper for refusing to pull out of Afghanistan.

It also refers to Canada's "fanatic adherence to Christianity" as well as its purported attempts to "damage the Muslims" and its support for the "Christian Crusade" against al-Qaeda.

"Despite the strong, increasing opposition to spread its forces in the fire of South Afghanistan, it seems that they will not learn the lesson easily," Hossam Abdul Raouf writes.

The document, written in July, was obtained and translated by the SITE Institute, a U.S. non-profit group that monitors terrorist Web sites for clients, many of them in government.

It is the second reference in recent weeks to al-Qaeda singling out Canada because of its role in Afghanistan.

Last month, Osama bin Laden's deputy, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, referred to Canadian troops in Kandahar as "second-rate Crusaders."

The increasing focus on Canada in jihadist propaganda follows last June's arrest of 17 terrorist suspects in Toronto and comes as Canada is debating its role in NATO-led combat operations in southern Afghanistan.

What do you do? Go into a country to try and do the right thing and then have al-Qaeda on your back or be a fence sitter like us. Sad

There was a warning for the 9/11 but the Americans overlooked and ignored the warning.

Al qaeda doesn't need any resources. They just need a few fanatic extremists and a big stick convinced that they do what they do for some cause. No resources needed, just a tiny lack of intelegence and bang...

Read my lips: There is no al-qaeda. It is an invention of the cia.

and 9/11 was a propaganda stunt to legitimise Fascist America.

Tell me that this hasn't happened.

Kilo,

"Facist America". Get a grip dude. You are reading to many conspiracy websites. That has to be one of the dumbest things you have said.

Now who's a nasty little troll?
Another one that doesn't read. Would you like me to go find all the original documents for you - or perhaps you should just read the link?

The last 9/11 thread ran just a little while ago - go find it - all the links to the originals are there.

And 2: you're a straight up liar anyway - and I'll answer you here:

But you chose to delete the one paragraph that gives true perspective to the story (why - and in the middle too?) and "I was just about to post the link from spectator" just doesn't cut it. Bit like Condeliza, "Uh, duh, I don't remember."

Liars and thieves. The worst kind.

Good gracious Kilo, you are an angry little bear aren't you?

Now I know where you are coming from. You read all these conspiracy websites and now you are all informed.

You can think what you want about the deletion. I don't really care. But easy on the name calling. Maybe one name per post would be fine.

It makes me really furious when people are patronising. Read the post: all the original state department documents are there (in the 9/11 thread - foreknowledge etc.) The posted page itself gives links to the original documents.

"and now you are all informed" yeah, I take my information off the originals - where do you get yours?

Liar because of the article posted you chose to delete the first 3 paragraphs - this in itself took it under the 10000 count. You then also chose to delete a further 871 characters (a paragraph, and one line off the following paragraph) - notably all paragraphs and characters that place the correct slant on the story.

Thief because you took the story and chose to present it in your way (completely in contrast to the spirit of the story.) Isn't this exactly how Bush, Cheney etal operate?

Look into your soul and tell me I'm wrong.

//and then to triple it all - you post nearly the full original, sans the above pieces - and don't post the original link - then when challenged - tell me 3 hours later you were "just about to post the link."

(shakes head)

So you must be one of these people who think that the US did 9/11 to themselves.

I have also seen lots of "original documents" proving the existence of UFO's. You probably have a few of those links as well. Don't you?

And you reckon we've got our heads buried in the sand.

US.STATE.GOV is genuine enough for me.

Bush Moves:

Old conspiracy. When Clinton was president, conservative conspiracy theorists posted more or less the same news. There is nothing new under the sun.

Arar:

The RCMP apologized to Arar and his family. They made a mistake in thinking that Arar was with Al Queda. The Americans were the ones who sent him to Syria to be tortured. Nice Try.
