It looks like we have a fibre running on Kritzinger Road as well... So close, yet so far.
Got an SMS this morning to confirm vdsl installation, still expecting them to back out on the day.
Have no problem with Skyfi 65mbps excellent latency.
You can't compare wireless pricing to fixed line its going to be more expensive its like maintaining a sports car vs a normal car.....
LTE boy I could tell you why but then I need four hours to type.... We use to have 120mbps and then....
I'm not comparing Wireless to fixed line. I also don't mind paying for a great service, but my 20mbps Skyfi was so unstable and multiple requests later and nothing improved. If I pay a lot for something, I expect something in return.
Could of been don't know. What how was unstable just kept disconnecting?
And as expected, can't be done.
In order for me to get VDSL they will need to plant 3 poles and he needs his managers permission for that. Apparently my existing line is still on the old box and they haven't exactly mapped the new one out yet.
As an aside, he also said the msan is fiber ready and orders can be placed so long. The conduit only runs to the corner up the street though and he doesn't know of any plans in place to actually start running it into the suburb and connect houses.
I keep trying with a number of providers but yeah, as indicated I've learned not to actually expect anything.
Residential consumers clearly don't matter here.
If you'll register as a business, will it work?
