The other question is, how long will it take to go from lavender to purple. Bunch of area were on lavender for forever.

I stay in verwoerdpark, Boegoe ave. Been using Skyfi since I moved here. R1250 for 20mbps. But this thing is so unstable. When it works, it's great.
Should I just get ADSL installed and hope that I can actually get VDSL?

You should get them out to check that out, skyfi has been rock solid could be you got some obstruction that's has come up

Meh, I have moaned plenty of times and I have an untangle firewall, so have all the reports and everything as proof. Regardless, did my cancellation today. Time to move on.

While we all wait for fibre to reach our neighborhood, why not go with Crystal Web? I need more people to be interested in their service, before they can provision coverage for Alberton.

Aren't they are just ISP and not last mile provider? Or number of subscribers affect rollouts somehow?
They have launched something called XTTH. Check their website. Like fibre over the air

Yes. Definitely has disadvantages. CW say it's capable of 300mbps so I think 20/20 line shouldn't cause so many problems. I could be wrong.

Will do. I also PMed @PBCool, as it seems they (Cool Ideas) also use DFA, but don't have us (Alberton) on their webiste.
