Alec Baldwin fatally shoots woman with prop gun on movie set

What "political gain?" His trial was in a blue state under a Biden/Harris administration.
I haven't followed the saga closely but he certainly should have been prosecuted for something less than murder because of his carelessness in not checking the weapon when he received it.

Not his job to check the weapon. That's the whole point.

You employ an expert to prepare the firearm and hand it to the actor, so that the actor doesn't have to go through the safety processes.

Exactly, what if you know nothing about firearms, never mind a prop gun and a real gun and fake rounds vs real rounds.
As you say it is not the actors job to scrutinize the gun, someone gets paid a salary to do that.

Did Alec balwin ever use firearms outside a film studio?
GEMINI: Yes, Alec Baldwin has used firearms outside of a film studio. He was hunting with a friend in 2006 when he accidentally shot and killed a man. Baldwin was not charged in the incident.

What he did or didn't do outside of the studio is irrelevant to this case.

Edit: also, I think Gemini is peddling serious BS on this one

It doesn't change the fact that it is not the actors job to check the gun. He gets handed the gun and everyone on set assumes it has been double checked by the person responsible for that (I forget the name now).

Whether he is innocent or not, he has a serious case of TDS and I hear it is a degenerative disease. Currently, there's no vaccine or cure for it.
Says the first person in ages to reference Trump in this thread.
