Well here we are hours away from the so-called big "fix" and neither sentech nor us know what this fix is. I can picture them all sitting at HQ, the sound of silence throughout the call center, hoping no one calls or asks about this problem as then it might just disappear. How many of you think anything will really come right? I for one don’t, there really has not been one sign that anything has been happening. I am sitting on the Brixton tower my local sucks ass and my International doesn’t really exist. I will put my life on the line in saying that we will wake up tomorrow and nothing would have been done, and yes this does kill me but hey telkom wont mind taking my money for ADSL and I feel Sentech making themselves the laughing stock of the internet community. They were fools, they had an opening in the market and they shoved it up their fat overpaid behinds. For me this last day is make or break, it is the line between canceling and not and I refuse to pay this months bill. I don’t know why they had to alienate their users, they have showed us NO transparency talked down to us as if we were morons and showed no caring or concern as if there would be no repercussions suffered. Well guess what Sentech I’m tired and even if you just lose my account and no one else’s, it will be one customer you will never get back again, and if you don’t know, the fastest way to get your product sold is ... you guessed it Word of Mouth and I will not sell your product, I will slate it on every front and I will make sure no one I know purchases this product. You can’t change the world but you can make a dent. Sentech you have 16hours left.

I feel like a kid on Christmas eve waiting to see what Santa is going to bring. Bet I won't be able to sleep tonight!

well i will be the first to cut them some slack if they fix the problem [hiding it behined BW management does not count] ... you fcukers need to buy bandwidth with the money we pay you not toasted sarmies and chips [ala lonegunman review] ...

you might have got away with these speeds in 96/97 but wait i was getting at best 9600bps then ...

yeah, If Iburst want to see its ass, I don't think any provider would want this lot on myAdsl, most forumites are a critical userbase, heavy downloaders, can kill any contention if not subsidised by 'weaker' users, and are now highly experienced at getting things into the media quickly.
methinks if they don't market to a broad base, the experience will follow sentechs.

Yeah true, but remember that the most critical users here were the biggest supporters of Sentech at launch. If Sentech had communicated with their customers honestly and utilized the skills of these people, the MyADSL forums would be one of their best advertisements. In addition, peer to peer support takes strain off their call centre.....sigh... it could have been such a beautiful relationship.

With respect to CrazyMadMan, something definately has been happening,
only not always for the better.
eg. Speeds vary day-to-day, "hard-caps" appear on some packages,
big differences on international versus local.
"something is in the air..." [:)]

Lots of people are getting very pssd off with Sentech
and R850/month x 2 years is not peanuts.

Maybe iBurst will offer free legal advice for people signing up,
on how to get out of their Sentech contract haha...

I'm thinking tonight at about 12 the network will be totally unusable because everyone on this forum will be pimping the bandwidth.

I suppose the "big fix" is supposed to solve those sorts of problems but we shall see.

heh, loosecannon .. If once you've finished your conversation to the Orcs you could post it here it would be great... I'd like to know whether they'll actually claim it's fixed. I spoke to two today, they both told me completely conflicting things but you know.. you get used to it. The one told me that yes the speed issues will definately be fixed by the 1st, possible even sometime tonight. The other guy said "Oh .. I'm not actually sure about that, haven't heard any mention of speed issues for a while lemme check", he then logged on to sentech's "forum" and said "Oh well I see here we have an upgrade due for the 2nd and the 5th.. well, you know they haven't let us know yet but yes yes definately after the upgrade on the 2nd" . I wasn't even in the mood for arguing as I could see he had no idea what he was talking about so I just said thanks and goodbye.
