Alt-Tech: Alternative options to mainstream applications

This thread is to share your experience with applications you have used that are alternatives for the following:
Youtube
Google
Chrome
Gmail
Google Maps
Twitter
Facebook

I am currently trying the following:
1) Palemoon browser as an alternative to Chrome: An offshoot of Firefox. On Android there are some issues posting on MyBB. Editing text can be cumbersome. On the PC it is fine.
2) DuckDuckdo as an alternative to Google aka Goolag: So far no major issues.


I am planning to migrate to Outlook.

Strange thing about google maps is that it seems more accurate than my garmin, would also check out waze
