So judging from that - Altech expect to supply boxes to the new guys. So NO sharing of boxes!

Thank goodness for Dreambox.

So these are the guys responsible for some of the dodgiest code and UI I have ever seen in my life? I reckon a recent graduate (no offence to recent graduates) could do a better job than these idiots!!!

We own the intellectual property of that decoder, so we can sell to the four new licence holders.
Maybe that's why Multichoice jumped ship and chose UK based PACE for their forthcoming HD PVR?

The thought of the other players buying Dstv's pvr software is absolutly laughable. the poor development cycle on the UEC code is the main cause for the lack of new features on the PVR system.

Theat said, they are promising series recording and other PVR features in the next update. But it ounly took them 2 years to get it done. Now the other players will be able to take all the hard work Dstv subscribers had to go through a launch better functionality.

But yes, i can definitely see that MCA's decision to go to pace might be as a result of the PVR software disaster.
