If you're shopping for shoes make sure you do so in the afternoon.
"Our feet tend to swell over the course of the day," explains Claudia Schulz from the Federal Association of the German Footwear and Leather Goods Industry.
"It is irrelevant if the day is hot and you think your foot already feels swollen in the morning. When you buy shoes in the afternoon it is more likely they will fit."
