Most recent order from Amazon UK - LEGO box was stuffed into a box barely bigger than the LEGO box itself, and all of it was stuffed into an Amazon locker barely bigger than the cardboard box.

Takealot is bad, I’ll order 3 tiny items in one order all from the same DC and they ship in 3 separate boxes. Apparently if the item location in the wharehouse is too far from the other items it’s more efficient to pack and ship them separately than traipse all over to ship in one box.

I recently got a Takealot order where every item was in a separate box. 7 items each in a box of their own and all of them were small items which could have fit into one box.

Got my 3rd Amazon order on the day they said it would be delivered. They even beat Takealot by a few hours this time. Progress.

I have mixed feelings after Takealot sent me a massive box containing 6x1l juice and... a paperback book. Needless to say, that book was a mess.
 
Bad packaging seems to be a theme in sa, like checkers 60, who still havent figured out that you shouldnt put hot pies onto of chocolates ..... 4 times in a row, I wonder if I upset the driver or something lol

Then again, I've never actually thought about ordering hot pies via Checkers60. I can see the appeal...
 
Looks like I was quite wrong about Amazon.co.za, its not a complete carbon copy of TAL.

I see most of the Bethesda game cookbooks are there. :thumbsup:

I can recommend the pies , nothing like a hot pie on the weekend lol

PS the Checkers by me has yet to deliver them cold lol
 
Will Amazon still deliver now, following the PO ruling about small parcels?
