Amazon.co.za vs Takealot tech price shootout

Amazon.co.za has cheaper prices than Takealot on many popular tech products, a comparison by MyBroadband shows.

Both the US e-commerce giant and South Africa’s biggest online store are well known for their extensive catalogues of tech and electronics.
 
My wife and I bought the same new phone a week apart. She bought from Takealot. Delivery was promised within five days and it arrived in four. Old trick of Takealot. No complaints about that. (We don't have TAL fast delivery here.)
I decided on a Friday lunch time that it is high time I get the new one as well. Checked Amazon out of curiosity and saw that it was R400 cheaper than TAL. Paid R75 extra and they delivered before lunch on Saturday. Absolute win for Amazon.
Edit: I still want our local company to be better than the Mericuns, but competition is good.
