Hi, I'm sure this has probably been brought up before.

I have a choice of two laptops. One from Evetech and one on Amazon. They work out to the same price for the same things, except the Amazon version has 16GB ram instead of 8.

I prefer the version on Amazon as the screen doesn't look like something that is going to break after two openings, as the one from evetech does. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with laptops bought on Amazon. Did you find it difficult to source an adapter for it?
I do realize the warranty is also an issue but I just want something where I'm not concerned if over its overall design.

Don't buy internationally without an international warranty. It should be covered anywhere in the world.

What laptop. Be specific.

Lenovo Legion 5 Gaming Laptop, 15.6" FHD (1920x1080) IPS Screen, AMD Ryzen 7 4800H Processor, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, NVIDIA GTX 1660Ti, Windows 10, 82B1000AUS, Phantom Black

Here it is.

Well, the laptops I'd considered on Evetech have all conveniently gone out of stock so now my next option from them is R4k higher than this one and the others I'd considered.
For reference, this one is valued at R18k at the moment, inclusive of shipping.

I drew my limit for a laptop at R20k, as I have quite a few other things to purchase alongside as well. But prices in the space of a week have gone through the roof.

The warranty isn't international, and it's a bad idea, but I'm running down my choices here.

Brought by Asus RoG G75VX into the country via Amazon about 6 years ago. Still works, had no issues with it.

The price of laptops has increased dramatically as there is a general shortage. I struggled to get laptops for work for over a month.

Buy a laptop aboard or buying from Evetech will the the same. No warranty either way.

Do yourself a favour and search customer experience for Evetech on this very forum

Not true. Local you have warranty directly with the supplies and usually on site, even if you buy through eviltech
