Depends on what platform you watch YouTube on. On mobile, I use Youtube Vanced. Further I use Adblock for YouTube. I heard some people still get ads on their YT Premium
R18.33 per person to stream music, no ads on Youtube, background play (screen off too) and 60 devices between everyone.

We share Youtube Premium and 4 screen Netflix between two households. Showmax is seperate, but R99 per year with BF vouchers till next year.

Really cheap.

No Spotify Connect alternative though and casting only works on some platforms. Spotify Connect is brilliant.

My house has Alexa devices all over so need to use Spotify.

Really thinking of changing to google home devices to take advantage of YouTube premium

Netflix ZA has caught up loads plus we pay a cheaper price anyway...

Netflix ZA: 4,907 titles
Netflix US: 5,343 titles
Netflix UK: 5,548 titles

Yes. Because I really want to watch a bunch of Bollywood spaghetti-western/Korean/lame-azz martial arts crud.

Once you strip out the can't-flog-it-anywhere-else crud you have less than 400 titles worth the bandwidth...

It bugs me on Prime that titles are advertised and when you click on them it gives a 'not available error'. Worse still, many of the title are pay-per-view. I would rather not see the unavailable content or charged-for content at all. Netflix is far better in this respect

What I just need now is a good content aggregator for all these streaming services.
I use Apple TV and LG Thinq.
I hate having to remember on which streaming platform I started something. Netflix; Showmax; YouTube prime; prime video; Apple TV+. I just want to be able to pickup my remote, launch voice search and say “Treadstone” and have it take me to prime video.
When I bought the LG Thinq tv they said it could do that- but it doesn’t (only shows results from Netflix and YouTube) and because of lockdown I couldn’t return it.
Apple TV apparently only works like that in the US.
Ok. Did my venting for the day.

Regarding others mentioning Bollywood, I read an article that someone that was content restricted because of moving locations (they were from Aus, but were currently in the US) that the catalogue then showed Bollywood.
I'm wondering whether our Amazon Prime is just this content-restricted site you get, primevideo.com instead of the Amazon /prime URL that other markets get?

Tried for a bit, only got Bollywood, cancelled it.

Good if you appreciated it, but for me, it felt it started out as one thing, then it became a biological weapon just to be retconned into something else.
I get you, when I was reading the books , I was like, whats this sh**? Seemed arb in the middle of everything but it really does come clear later. Not sure if you'll enjoy next season either though, its also a bit different but good in its own way and give a LOT of backstory to the main characters. Still, best Scifi on the go at the mo......Orville second :D

I agree local prime video is not really worth it. Very limited number of shows to actually watch.

I subs for expanse in 4k just to show some support for them picking it up.

I just loaded Tidal to my Alexa. Great quality and a great app on android at least. Give it a try...
