Yes. Because I really want to watch a bunch of Bollywood spaghetti-western/Korean/lame-azz martial arts crud.

Once you strip out the can't-flog-it-anywhere-else crud you have less than 400 titles worth the bandwidth...
True but I always find something to watch. They have a wide variety and great standup comedy as well.

So when listing the Amazon TV shows, you decided to leave out what is arguably one of the biggest new titles on the platform (and exclusive to the platform in South Africa at least): StarTrek: Picard

The video quality is excellent though.

If you can get the American Prime Video or the UK version then it's a competitive offering:
American version - highest number of movies, series and documentaries
UK version - decent library plus live sports ( almost all ATP and WTA games in a live and on demand format) and other sports.

What are the requirements to do this?

The watching part is easy - a SmartDNS (Getflix / SmartDNSproxy etc).
The difficult part is payment using a South African card.

This has been far more worthwhile a subscription in Aus. for $7 a month I get prime video, prime music and probably some other things I don't know about it. Best of all is I get prime delivery. I've probably saved hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in delivery at this point. Quite a few of the shows have been quite good. They even released a series Picard which is about good old Captain Picard of the Enterprise.

Is the video quality currently limited to HD? I get the HDR logo on shows, but the quality never goes above HD.
Anyone getting UHD quality?

Amazon Prime kinda sucks. Was watching "Magicians" and they only let you watch the first two seasons, the next two seasons are region locked :/
