Amazon punts 10MW solar plant in Northern Cape

Wonder how long it took to get that 10MW up and running from start to finish?

Reminds me of the days after the Telkom monopoly collapsed
A bit premature considering you'd need about 4000 more of those to cover Eskom's installed capacity...and let's not even get started on the whole dispatchable power versus non dispatchable power.

This will not progress at anywhere near the pace that Telkom's stranglehold was dismantled.

The taxpayer will at least have to pay so they can afford to shut down.
 
Article didn't really explain Amazon's involvement. Did they sponsor it? Was it a charity thing?
