AMD unveils its most powerful gaming graphics card – Radeon VII

Waste of time really from a gamer perspective, probably just low binned parts from there instinct cards. Was hoping for a Navi announcement but they are obviously behind schedule there.
They rightfully have put most of there resources in Ryzen over the last few years.
 
AMD CES was such a disappointment after all the hype. Nothing new for mid range gamers.
 
Headline is totally misleading as AMD never claimed its the most powerfull gpu.

The term they used was "highest-performance".

“AMD Radeon VII is the highest-performance gaming graphics card we ever created,” said Scott Herkelman, corporate vice president and general manager, Radeon Technologies Group at AMD.

Keywords being "we ever created"...Headline claims most powerfull graphics not most powerfull graphics card AMD created.

That is a blatant lie as it is nowhere near the nvidia 2080ti or titan rtx.
 
I watched the keynote live last night, impressive stuff. But I'm more interested to see what the new APUs will be able to do.
 
$700 for 29% better game performance over Vega 64, a card that recently went down to $400 in black friday? I mean...ok I guess that's fine.

The headline "AMD unveils most powerful gaming graphics card – Radeon VII" was intended to reference AMD's card line-up. The addition of "its" to the headline will address your concerns, I think.

We have added "its" to the headline. The headline was not written with any misinformation intended.
 
AMD have still lots to learn with their GPU products, barely competitive.
However, they are doing everything right with their CPU's, especially pricing.

I'll be keeping my 1080Ti for a while now, especially seeing that it will support Freesync in a few days time. Absolutely no reason for me to get a Radeon VII card. I think it will most likely smoke the 1080Ti when it comes to compute loads though.

I'm using a Vega 64 at the moment that I picked up for R5K second hand.... When they double the 64 performance, I might consider. But not now, besides I play Black Ops 4 for example at 1440p with everything set to full hitting over 100FPS with a 27" 4K LG using Freesync... I'm content with that. BF V on 1440p is a little more taxing, even with DX12.
