In a way it makes sense, the US is a massive country geographically and Americans do like to drive. Therefore the lack of charging infrastructure would be an issue for them. That is however a problem that is being solved as I am typing here with both more chargers and better long distance batteries.

Also, only 29% will next buy an electric vehicle, based on the size of the US car market that is a HUGE number of cars in absolute terms. This will further improve economies of scale that will bring down the overall cost.
