Regardless of what opinions may be floating around, it's actually quite a strange one. Aus has less than half the population of SA on an entire CONTINENT, mainly concentrated along the coast. If they really wanted to be separated from everyone else, they could literally head inland for a few thousand miles and never be seen again.

A lot of the interior of Australia is desert with little or no access to water...they probably wouldn't be seen again but not for the reasons you are thinking of....

Wonder how many members are expats?
Probably most...
then again...White Australians share the same sentiments regarding the original people that white South Africans do...

Strange, both never belonged there in the 1st place.

It's TRUE though.
"Almost" means I can add a few rural settlement to the list of places with "almost" no crime. I don't want to take it away from them. It took a lot of sacrifices and money to build the place and maintain it so kudos. However, "almost" isn't unique to the settlement. "Absolute" would be unique.

Hopefully one day we'll have another Pangea supercontinent...

do they still have reserves for the aboriginal people

You also need permission to access most of these ancestral areas, appears OZ Government has given rights to the aboriginal land back to them to manage.

I say this from watching the Ozzie 4x4 and fishing shows, they almost always have to apply for permission to access the remote places.

Maybe if you are a technologically backward group of people who haven't progressed past the stoneage.

For everyone else in 2019, the year of our Lord and Saviour, Donald Trump:
The Great Artesian Basin (GAB[1]), located in Australia, is the largest and deepest artesian basin in the world, stretching over 1,700,000 square kilometres (660,000 sq mi), with measured water temperatures ranging from 30–100 °C (86–212 °F). The basin provides the only source of fresh water through much of inland Australia.[2]
...
The basin is 3,000 metres (9,800 ft) deep in places and is estimated to contain 64,900 cubic kilometres (15,600 cu mi) of groundwater

But just west of that everything dies. Slowly. And just remember: if the Outback doesn't kill you through dehydration and starvation, the fauna definitely will.

Someone really needs to announce that to the Aussies then, because they sure as hell don't want to live there for some reason.

The map probably doesn't show all the super secret, white supremacist, self-sufficient enclaves living a life of luxury out in the desert.

Quite a large asian population when I was there, only saw one black African while I was there (six months), and a handful of aborigine.

Yup.. they literally tried to outbred the aborigines including forced breeding, sterilization, China style re-education, mass immigration of favorable types etc Aus, Cad, Usa, Nzl sure were awesome role models
