Of the decided voters, the ANC was the preferred party for 84% of blacks, 15% of whites, 50% of coloureds and 47% of Indians.

Maybe it's just me but with BEE and AA that figure just seems a little off.

Statistics can be heavily biased if one wants it to be. They need to say how they drew up their sample etc.

Survey taker at a white household:

ST: "Will you vote for the ANC"
Resident: "Yeah! right!"
ST: "thanks, bye" /ticks "ANC decided voter"

You just accepted the one which you agree with.:p

And I was not questioning the results of the survey, just that when it was conducted, there was no COPE, just a conference where a bunch of people decided to start a party. Since that weekend COPE has gone on to show they are a serious threat to the ANC. Even without having concrete policies.

Like I said, its all about accepting what you want to hear and i told you the one that i like, so i agree with you that i have accepted one, which is more comprehensive and broader than the first.:D
Actually, you are not telling the truth when you said there was no cope, if there was not, how come the survey used it?

Nope there was no COPE, just an idea of an alternative party. The people at the conference decided to luanch a party, on December 16.

These stats are only based on one area... If they surveyed all areas, they'd find: All the Cape provinces will be lost by the ANC and many more losing majority

They actually did survey all provinces, that is why they have results from all provinces. Its a fundamental research flaw to reserach about the people of kwazulu natal without going there unless the question you want to ansa has to do with people who no longer stay in kwazulu natal.

ANC just like Microsoft Vista, Its a partly we all love to hate.

When Vista came out, people hated it and they still do, but it surpassed all projection figures. We'll all have to face up with reality, ANC is here to dominate.

A lot of folks hated Bush, made documentaries and films about him, but in the end 55 million people voted him into office. Its all psychological politics, just tell people what they want to here i.e. Crime & Jobs in our case.

COPE & DA needs to go on a campaign trail and tell people what they want to here, bashing ANC is not going to help, Kerry tried it with Bush, McCain with Obama, bashing does not work because it distracts people from real issues.

I like Vista. I hate the ANC.

People loved the ANC at first. It surpassed immensly with crime, HIV, corruption and degradation of infrastructure. Vista is going to be replaced in 1 year. Short life span huh?

Or maybe, in America, it's not a one party state where there are real elections and the people of America voted on Republican ideals, and the leader of the Republicans was Bush. (Republicans won by a slim margin as well, somewhere in the 10000's)

COPE & DA needs to go on a campaign trail and tell people what they want to here, bashing ANC is not going to help, Kerry tried it with Bush, McCain with Obama, bashing does not work because it distracts people from real issues.

Of course it isn't. Its why both parties are pathetic, but not as pathetic as the ANC. What promises have the ANC made that it kept?

I'm not a big ANC fan, since the start of US primaries a while back, I've been hooked to Politics, though, SA politics are NOT that exciting, Zuma is scared of public debate with opposition. I just wish e-News can make a special everyday program on Political Campaign so that the public can make an informed decision.

Legislation needs to be changed so that the ruling party can be forced to go on several public debates with the official opposition party. Still while we are there, we have lots of political parties, maybe two years before elections, we should have preliminary elections, and the top three parties can go head-to-head when we hold the official elections.

ANC led government has achieved a lot, and it has also failed immensely, I'm not going to debate which one is greater, for it is known that its human nature to inflate opinions on the latter.
