The R4m taxi rank, ANC is a truly revolting organisation.

Municipality post says it will be used for rugby as well. I don't have info to refute their claims. Football posts can be removed in minutes to make way for rugby matches. What if they were still in the process of procuring rugby posts at the time the pic was taken?

I wouldn't know. I'll take their word for it.
Maybe they ran short and you're right when you posted a pic of the stadium. Those handrails? Recycling!

People trying to apply logic where none is to be found.

The interesting thing is that social media will now highlight all the flaws of the ANC. And then the higher ups will run around like mad chickens trying to do damage control.

Instead of just stopping the rot at the head of the organization.

Water pisses out of the buildings 24/7...Semi informal recycling area as well...in other words plastic gets burnt off stolen cables etc....

Yep. SWaw that. Wonder what those structures on the right are?
We had similar structures...they were just little informal trader hokkies....
The ones in my town were liberated pretty quickly and repurposed for chickens/rental accommodation....

Plot twist:
The bench frame is made out of silver and the seats, a fine crafted imported cedar wood.

Just check the garages of all the people that attended the ceremony, I can bet you there will be a Range Rover and an X5 sitting there

The sad part is I am now fairly certain that the majority of the thousands of tenders given out each year operate like this. We just happen to know a little about one or two of them but this is obviously the norm.

The Gauteng department of education approached a few schools last year asking if they where willing to expand the school by one class for each grade to try absorb the massive numbers of unplaced kids. The school building projects managed by them have all been disasters with projects costing ridiculous amounts for substandard schools so to get something done due to the huge pressure on them they actually gave the ex model C schools the cash up front for once and had the schools do the building and management themselves. I am treasurer at one of the schools and we expanded capacity at the school by 20% for about 6M where a new school that is smaller than ours costs the department about 200M plus. Its ridiculous how anything the government touches just turns to crap with everyone taking their slice.

I used to look forwards the time when the ANC finally loses power. After the riots though I no longer believe the average ANC supporter will accept the ANC losing and that should that happen stability in this country will be shot with large outbreaks of violence etc like Zuma managed to pull. I have largely lost hope for SA. Hyperinflation is inevitable after which perhaps there is hope for those that can't get out if the WC manages to split off and accept the economic refugees from the other provinces.

Pretty much every tender has at least a 20% premium for the middle man, and this is assuming everything functions the way it should and there isn't any massive corruption involved... in reality, I would hazard a guess that the average middleman premium in this country is north of 100% for even the smallest little stationary tender.

**EDIT** The middle man percentage aspect, or government business premium isn't new to the ANC though. Even under the NAT government there was price gouging on anything to do with government work.

Now we understand why Eskom, SAA, SABC , Post office etc is tickets aka moer toe.

And I do believe the ANC will "rule" to Jesus comes. They just promise free **** , grants, unemployment fund ... and they are in for the next 4 years. We got the highest jobless rate... yet people looted for JZ. There is no hope for SA, except if their voters catch a wake up.
