Thieves then. They are not fools, they are business people who get business from government that makes the R600k look like change.
No, it goes to the party coffers. All that money is probably to the top comrades within the ANC, not the worker at the bottom.
Not fools like you called them.Thieves then.
it's always sold out. It's apparently sold out.
Was thinking they ought to be able to raise enough out of tables and donations at that shindig to cover salaries for the year. Though the ANC currently being run by Mr. 10% this could all have been orchestrated to embarrass CR so whatever gets raised will disappear in double time if that's the game he's playing. There are tables going for R600 000 at the ANC Birthday gala dinner, the salaries will be paid.

Lol, I see in the article they went begging to the Saudi's for a bailout. The ANC, which is so anti America right now it's not funny goes the the Saudi's for money. Glad the Saudi's showed them the door. I am guessing if they were that desperate they have already maxed out the China/Russia credit card. Morons.
Along the way, Mandela has scooped up hundreds of millions of dollars for ANC coffers from his dubious hosts. He has praised President Suharto for his "generous financial assistance" to the ANC. Mandela's office refused to say exactly how generous the former Indonesian leader was but President Mahathir Mohamed of Malaysia and Saudi Arabia's King Fahd each stumped up $50m.
In May, the Chinese gave Mandela a fat cheque toward helping get Thabo Mbeki elected. Gadafy has long been generous. He even paid the cost of Winnie Mandela's defence in her kidnapping trial. Would it have made a difference if Mr Mandela had made a public stand? Perhaps not. But as he retires this week, South Africa's icon might be remembered for more than fighting for the underdog only in his own country.
Mandela - just another terrorist.![]()
Stains on the icon
Imagine Vaclav Havel flying to South Africa to slap PW Botha on the back and announce that the hard man of apartheid wasn't so bad because he was such a virulent opponent of communism. Nelson Mandela welcomed Libya's Colonel Muammar Gadafy to South Africa this week after telling anyone who...www.theguardian.com
