Do you know the state that Tshwane is in? ANC hypocritical criticism aside that is not good for the DA/EFF run metro.
Irrelevant, you wouldn't have seen the money go to infrastructure, the money was assigned to that illegal tender.

Since they now cancelled it, they can assign it to actual infrastructure projects.

What money are you talking about and what tender? I am about them spending less than 50% of their Capex budget.

Well then it seems private municipalities is not the answer.
The answer is in accountable municipalities. SCOPA is a joke and the PFMA Chapter 10 accountability clauses are a joke as I have yet to see criminal proceedings enacted against those responsible for the "mismanagement" of the municipal funds.

Did you actually read my post?

That's a very large contract for a lot of money that they managed to get cancelled, it can easily account for R2bn under spend. It cannot be re-assigned until the next budget meeting.
I'd rather they spend less money than throw it at corrupt tenders, which is what they're still trying to clean up from ANC days.

@thechamp, I've seen quite a few posts in the last week of you just jumping in without reading, write your reply, re-read the entire conversation, wait a minute, read your comment again and see if worth posting.

The ANC also slated the DA-led administration for spending a mere 50% of its R4bn Capex budget
As opposed to pissing 150% of it away on luxury cars for cadres and Nkandlas for uBabas?

Yeah, no ANC, fahk right off.

Is that the same incident that was investigated and found to be a load of hogwash?
I don't kow, I just remember something about the leader buying himself a Mercedes and increasing his salary.

ANC/DA/EFF/COPE/WhoTheFckEver

It does not matter which political party you have running the show, they are all incapable of running anything as well as a private business would.

It would be very interesting to see how effecient a purely "privatised" municipality runs compared to the public ones.

Run by humans?
