I am surprised that Christians allow this - it is blasphemy. How the hell can Zuma be in the same sentence as anything remotely religious?

Wow, seems like they are laying this new found religion on thick. A lil too obvious. You go from saying nothing on the subject, to reaching for metaphors and supposed likeness with every statement made this week regarding zuma or the ANC. How sad that they would feel the need to go THIS far..

It's blasphemous but it's not meant in a malicious way. People who make these statements don't realise they're blaspheming and that in itself should warn the very people this propaganda is trying to sway - religious Christians.

Sort of like an extremist chauvist speaking on behalf of women's rights,
getting it wrong because he's clueless (because he really has no interest in this beyond propaganda) and the women buying it all.

I think they have confused him with the Prince of Darkness.

Another subtle theological difference escaping Magashule: Yeshua was innocent and suffered for the sins of others; Jacob is guilty and suffers for his own sins.

Or the morally degenerate speaking on moral regeneration, or someone facing countless charges of corruption urging people to report crime.

I think the media have misquoted Magashule. I think he wanted to say that Zuma wants to suffer like Jesus, in order to become a martyr for the people. Isn't that the true test of any leader?

It's here:

Ha - it's been on my list for years, but have never gotten round to it. Thanks for the e-text; I'l turn it into a Microsoft Reader ebook and take it along to the sea. These hols I'm finally getting to Vladimir Soloviev's The Three Dialogues. Better than most, he saw the Twentieth Century before it happened.
