He also never said that, he was quoted out of context, just like he would be out of context in this one as well.

Even worse is that both these leaders and most of their supporters have zero conception of how utterly idiotic they are.
I am constantly gobsmacked. I always thought running a country was medium difficult. The ANC have demonstrated how easy it is. With just 2 braincells (which puts you ahead of the ANC) you could do a reasonable job.

All these obviously preposterous and ridiculous utterances by black politicians lead me to wonder whether there might not be a style of rhetoric in black culture that whites completely miss because they take it literally when it is meant figuratively to make a more tangential point.
You're overanalysing it. WYSIWYG.

How is it allowed that in this day and age this man gets to be major of one of our biggest cities, and the largest logistical hub of our country. Durban's entire economy is based around that harbour, and the moving of goods in and out of SA. What kind of a blithering idiot wants to shut that all down. The mind boggles.

Hehe. Running with your acronym - what I'm suggesting is that these black politicians are using a verbal font that isn't easily read by whites. Fonts can change meanings, as you know.

To be fair, he is the executive mayor of the City of Ekhuruleni and not Durban.

Also...this blithering idiot gets paid R1.35mln a year straight into his trough thanks to all of us!
Who says you have to be clever to be rich?

This code doesn't benefit anyone, except for allowing the ANC to pull out the ol' "It was taken out of context" excuse.
I go along with that. If you’re sophisticated enough to play semantic games you should appreciate the dangers of speaking unclearly in a high profile, public position. Occam’s Razor say’s he is an ignorant arsehole. I agree.

The root problem is that Westerners, who should know better, have erected democracy as a god. And the problem with democracy is the ignorant outvote the informed, the leeches outvote the producers, and justice is redefined as a function of counting noses. In a fit of insanity to scrap teleology (because of its implications for morality) we have evacuated justice of its classical meaning and smuggled in alien concepts to redefine it in empirical and functionalist terms, and now we pay the price. The ancient error of Nominalism is our new creed. I am no less to blame for being complicit in this madness.

It scares the hell out of me that people so genuinely stupid and ignorant seem to be running the country. This kind of thing makes that Idiocracy movie look like an optimistic documentary. Even worse is that both these leaders and most of their supporters have zero conception of how utterly idiotic they are.
THESE -- are the people that the "geniuses" in the Afrikaner NP / BB GAVE the country away to
I am QUITE convinced they had never really met a black South African in their lives -- apart from "OUSIE"
Lived in a RICH PROTECTED BUBBLE
and
HOW is it that they had no inkling of what was going on just to the north of South Africa as the wave of UHURU swept down the continent ?
I wonder WHERE the state intelligence agencies were ?
( although perhaps talking about intelligence in the intelligence agencies is an -- OXYMORON ! )

Sorry chaps -- SOMEONE LET THE DOGS OUT -- you would do better by trying to find out WHO that was ...

He also never said that, he was quoted out of context, just like he would be out of context in this one as well.
News24 report seems to be quiet detailed on what was said:

''I will leave. I can never serve under Cyril. I respect him as my older brother, as a leader. [But] I just don’t believe in this group he belongs to. So, he can lead. I will be out,'' he said.
''If Nkosazana loses, white people will lead SA. I will not be part of it. I will not be mayor of Ekurhuleni, but I will leave the ANC in power,'' he said.
''I will never leave the ANC. I will die in the ANC, but I will never support an ANC that is corrupt,'' he said.
''I am not part of that sheet. If Nkosazana doesn’t win, I am out
.' he said

Masina said he would also step down as mayor and regional chair if the majority of branches in his region nominated Ramaphosa instead of Dlamini-Zuma.

Not much room for misinterpreting the above quotes.
Pretty sure News24 could produce a tape/transcript of the interview.
He did try to refute the statement on SABC, but his body language and shifty eyes indicated otherwise.

Executive mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni and ANC Ekurhuleni regional chairperson Mzwandile Masina...
Durban/eThekwini people not happy with people in Gauteng calling the shots.
Tip for Durban/eThekwini Mayor: Close OR Tambo (Ekurhuleni) to stop brain drain.
I think we should shut down all airports... Then the clever people can't leave

Fixed it for you ....
Perhaps Durban harbour would be suitable for that sheep ship -- to pack in the dumb ones -- to be sent to -- Port Harcourt ?
or
Perhaps FREETOWN ...

A bit of Geography ( for befuddled ANC apparatchiks -- and -- MyBBers )

On the road from Sierra Leone to Liberia, new friends smooth the way

How to travel overland between Monrovia, Liberia, and Freetown, Sierra Leone
