The masses can always rule over everyone else by the mere fact of out numbering everyone, we don't have to call it democracy.
It won't be about the will of the people but about who would win in a fight between the uneducated masses and everybody else. But that's exactly what democracy is, the will of the people.
Can, but historically, virtually never have until relatively recently. The masses can always rule over everyone else by the mere fact of out numbering everyone, we don't have to call it democracy.
Simple fix really. In the past only land owners had a vote. This is the right idea. But to modernise it slightly give any net tax contributors a vote.Democracy has a major flaw in that it assumes that the majority know what is best for a country.
Lol no. The masses are a bunch of sheep. The can't organise meaningfully. There's always someone herding them. The masses can always rule over everyone else by the mere fact of out numbering everyone, we don't have to call it democracy.

So they can be herded to war by people who can organise...?Lol no. The masses are a bunch of sheep. The can't organise meaningfully. There's always someone herding them.
To be fair, "the Afrikaner" was hounded, badgered, sanctioned, excluded, pressured, pushed and boycotted into doing so, including by people like me. My own motive was that they abandon the racial discrimination that prevented black people from owning property, attending schools and generally living and working permanently in large portions of their own country. Apartheid laws were in force for 40 years -- from the Population Registration Act of 1950 to the de facto scrapping of apartheid by de Klerk in 1990 -- and that grievous injustice has become the rod with which we are being beaten today and will be probably forever, or until the Revolution. They knew what was happening elsewhere in Africa - that was the reason for apartheid. Their intelligence services certainly knew what the ANC and PAC cadres were, but local and international events overtook them. In the end, a combination of internal and international pressure and their own conscience that racial discrimination is morally wrong got the better of them, they capitulated, surrendered power, and the ANC swept into government.
Read up on the French revolutions. So they can be herded to war by people who can organise...?
I hate the FrenchRead up on the French revolutions.
Then you should like reading about how they kill each other?I hate the French
Disregard the question mark.Read up on the French revolutions.
Someone can use that masses as a tool. The masses can never rule. That's what I said! Disregard the question mark.
Its AmandlaCongratulations on being partly responsible for the death of a country!
Probably the best outcome of the last 25 years is the ANC is no longer able to hide behind their golden boy Mandela facade. The world can now see for themselves the levels of depravity running through our government and civil services, and the reasons why the Afrikaner determined that separate development was the best solution. Our politicians have teh dumb, like this mayor don't even live in the real world & our locals cannot even co-exist with people of their own color and continental origin. Politics being what it is tho, nothing will be done and a country with so much proven potential (just like Zimbobwe) that was once a front-runner in Africa will continue to deteriorate and ultimately join the list of African failed states, with their citizens having to do the African salute in order to eke out a living (just like Zimbobwe). Viva communism viva! Amanda!
